This event will be held on the campus of Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J., on May 31, 2017. The goal of this summit is to help schools gain knowledge about the potential of blended learning and how to transform classrooms to meet the needs and access the full potential of students.
At least 75 percent of school districts in the United States are implementing blended learning in some form through flipped classrooms, station rotations, flex programs, or standalone online courses. This one-day summit provides an opportunity for educators to experience firsthand what blended learning feels like for students.

Blended learning is an education framework that combines digital media implementation with traditional classroom methodology. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some element of student control over time, path, or pace. Blended learning can help personalize learning, deepen engagement, and improve teaching. The Blended Learning Leaders Summit is designed as an introduction to blended learning for both administrators and teachers alike.

Staker is also an adjunct fellow at the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation, a nonprofit think tank that promotes disruptive innovation in education and health care.
